What do you have for hire?

We have almost all the equipment that you could need for a wedding, party, corporate event etc. including tables, chairs, dance floors, staging, uplighting, chandeliers, utility lights, striplights, marquee lining, starlight lining, heating, matting, hard flooring, carpets etc. and if we don’t have something you want in stock we can probably source it else where.

What about difficult sites?

Over the years we have seen all sorts of gardens and sites and so can confidently overcome most obstacles. We have put marquees up on slopes, marquees with ponds and trees in them even marquees built within other marquees.

Can the marquees be attached to houses?

Yes, if you need to attach a marquee to your house or office we simply use a gutter between the marquee and building. However we would need to visit the site prior to making a booking.

When can I have a free site visit?

Our working week is Monday to Friday 8.30am until 6.00pm. However if this is not convenient, we are happy to visit you weekends and evenings by arrangement. A formal quotation can them be sent to you.

How can I be confident that you will do a good job?

We try to get feedback from customers via a questionnaire which we send once their event is over. These are kept and offered to you when we carry out a site visit. On the feedback letter there are various questions ranging from our punctuality to the cost of the marquee. We would be very happy and eager to show you these feedback sheets so you may read the testimonials and get a true feel for what we can do for you.

How does the pricing work?

You are charged for a 3-4 day rate. Your marquee will usually be installed on a Thursday or Friday for a Saturday event and collected on a Monday, but this will depend on the time of year, the time it may take to erect the marquee and your requirements, so it could be 1 or 2 days earlier for delivery and/or collection. Long term hire periods are also available. Please contact the office for a quotation.

Can the marquee be erected on a hard surface?

Yes, if your marquee is to be erected on a hard surface ie something other than grass we will need to use Hard Standing Kits. This means that the bottom of the walls may be fixed to the marquee legs using bars so keeping the walls straight. We would also need to fix the marquee down using bolts so drilling would be necessary.

What sort of marquees/structures do you have?

We have Traditional pole marquees, Academy frame marquees, Hoecker clearspan marquees, Inflatable stage covers and a 14’ Tipi. We are pretty much able to supply the appropriate marquee for all events from small parties with 10 guests right up to major events catering for thousands.

Can the walls be removed if it is a hot day?

Yes. The walls can be folded back or totally removed with relative ease, we will happily show you how this works when on site.

How good are the heaters?

They are excellent. We supply ducted, thermostatically controlled heaters which sit outside of the marquee and heat the inside via a duct which sits under the canvas wall. Obviously the weather dictates the heating, however one heater is usually enough for a party of around 100-150 guests.

When should I make my reservations?

Please book as early as possible, especially for the busy summer and Christmas periods. All quotations are strictly subject to availability.

What about changes in my order?

Additions are welcome subject to availability. Small deletions prior to delivery (except marquees) can be accommodated.

What type of service can I expect?

Our standard delivery includes your equipment being dropped off and neatly stacked in a mutually convenient place. If you have booked a marquee we will erect this and hang linings, lay flooring and install any staging/ lighting/heating. We strongly recommend that there is somebody available to meet our staff on arrival. This ensures that the marquee/s are positioned correctly and you are shown how to operate the heating and/or lighting.

Insurance

Once we leave site the hirer is responsible for the equipment until we return. Full liability insurance cover (excluding £250.00 policy excess) is available at 5% hire charge. Please note, however, that although we strongly recommend that you take out this insurance it is not compulsory.

We hope that this pages is of help however every job is different and every site/customer needs specific attention so please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or queries and we will do everything we can to help.
